Sliding Wardrobe Doors: Not Just For Bedrooms

When you hear the term ‘fitted wardrobes’, you instantly think of wardrobes installed in the bedroom.

Have you ever thought about where else they could go?

There’s plenty of uses for sliding wardrobe doors all over your home. Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

Bathroom

Space is always at a premium in the bathroom.

Do you have a spare alcove or space that’s no doing anything in there? Install a fitted wardrobe in there and use it to store all the essentials.

You’d be amazed at how much you can fit in there. Then you won’t have odd bottles of shampoo and other items cluttering up the room.

Kitchen

If you’re willing to think outside of the box, sliding wardrobe doors in your kitchen can be great.

They can create a perfect space to store things like your ironing board or cleaning items if you don’t already have a cupboard for them.

As they’re floor to ceiling, you’ll get a lot more room in there than you’d think you’d get.

Hallway

Surely there’s not enough room in the hallway for a fitted wardrobe? You’d be surprised. You probably want to store things like your coats and shoes in there, so it doesn’t actually have to be very deep.

You can even set a wardrobe under the stairs if you want.

The best part is because they’re sliding wardrobe doors, they won’t swing out into anybody’s way. That’s perfect if you have a narrow hallway.

Study

Now, you may not have an actual study, but you may work out of a spare room or dining room. It’s ok when you’re working, but it’s a pain when guests are over and you need to tidy everything away.

Using sliding wardrobe doors mean you can pack an entire desk away from them, and when you’re not working no one will know it’s there.

Living room

If you have children, a fitted wardrobe may be the perfect storage solution for your living room.

Storing toys can be a hassle, but install some sliding wardrobe doors in there and they can easily be put away when guests are over.

Plus, it makes tidying up a cinch at the end of a long day. You can also store items like DVDs and books in there, meaning they’re within easy reach but they’re not adding to clutter around your home.
